Employee Picks: Spring I

Floor Length Floral Dress: I love that I can take this dress from day to night. I can see myself wearing it at the store with simple jewelry, sneakers and a denim jacket. I’ve already worn it to a black tie with big tacky earrings and plan to wear it all over again at a rehearsal dinner in two weeks. Done and done.

Surplus Jumpsuit: I recently wore this to market with my black bow kitten heels and my new stack of Native American cuffs I recently picked up on a girls weekend in Santa Fe. All the different looks just work. I can also see myself wearing this on the weekend with sneakers. This jumper is going to be a good throw on and go piece for me, it’s so comfortable and current.

The Scrunchie Top: There is nothing this doesn’t go with: levis, layer under a jumper, pair with a denim skirt. It’s the most obvious new arrival that I can wear over and over again well into May.

Gather Around Dress: There’s something about this dress that is so effortlessly classic yet totally current. The silhouette and draping is reminiscent of my favorite designer, Jacquemus, whose garments transport their carriers (us) to distant islands off of the Mediterranean. Give me this dress, a chunky mule, some sunnies, a giant floppy hat and LET’S CALL IT A DAMN DAY.

Tied Up Long Sleeve Top: I currently live in New York City, which means I’m mastering the art of dressing for long days that transition into longer nights. The Tied Up Long Sleeve top immediately gave me a “transition-piece” vibe and without surprise, I was totally right! Pair this top with a some long, wide-leg chinos and swap out your daytime sneaker for a night time booty and…you’re SET! Its long sleeve nature is perfect for the city’s cooler temps and front-tie bodice detail is mega on trend.

Cropped Corduroy Jacket: For the first time in my life I’m experiencing actual seasons, which means I can actually layer my clothes and suddenly need things like “light jackets” and “thick dusters.” With that being said, anytime Beehive updates their site I’m (naturally) checking in on their “jackets” tab. I’m a huge fan of color blocking and *gasped* when I saw this cropped, corduroy sweater in the most STELLAR of greens. Consider this my new go-to Winter/Spring transition jacket.

Plaid playsuit: You ever wake up and dread having to get dressed for the dreary corporate world? Do you wish you could show up to the office in your pajamas? Say no more, we have the outfit just for you: the Plaid Playsuit. Think of it as the “onesie meant for the boardroom.” Nothing beats the ease of being able to throw this jumpsuit over a white dress shirt for the perfect styling duo. Add a pair of black heels or booties and strut your way up the corporate ladder!

Moto jacket: Sometimes, I just have the desire to say “F it all,” hop on my (all pink + bedazzled) Harley bike and ride off the sunset- never looking back. You know, hit the open roads with my gang of edgy biker chicks. But, unfortunately, I am scared of motorcycles and look TERRIBLE in helmets. Thankfully, this Moto Jacket exists. You throw this bad boy on and feel like you are starring in a Lana del Rey music video. Pair it with either dark wash or black ripped jeans with a killer band tee, and live your biker fantasy.

White Out Block Heels: They might not be red bottoms (Sorry, Cardi!), but these White Out Block Heels make it easy to choose which shoes to wear for the day. These heels are perfect for both day and night. You can strut from brunch all the way to the after party- and look good doing it!  Because this heel pairs perfectly with pants or skirts, you can dress for that awkward “is-it-winter-is-it-spring?” type weather.
