We got together with one of our sparkliest local jewelry designers, Maggie Villamaria, to talk about what she’s up to and guide us on what she plans to wear while cocktailing thru the holidays.
I imagine being in NYC, you have to dress for day to night quite often. What are some of your go-to tips? Pairing a mini dress with a relaxed/oversized blazer is a great way to dress down a cocktail look. Also, cool sneakers are so in. Go with a sparkly or metallic pair of sneakers to dress down a cocktail dress. SO European, I love it.

You nail sparkle, what is are your go-to MV pieces this season? EARRINGS EARRINGS EARRINGS. They are EVERYTHING right now. I literally wear new sets everyday. I love that they’re so simple and fun/ easy to wear with anything– whether it be something like this off shoulder sweater or a sparkly dress!! Everyone absolutely NEEDS my “Celeste Drop Earrings”. They are the best accessory to any outfit. ALSO, a great gift for friends, sisters, co-workers, etc… 😉

Was there something that set the tone for your holiday collection? I’m working on a huge exclusive project right now dealing with the Zodiac and astrology, so I would say a lot of the jewelry I’m creating right now is very astrology based– moon, stars, signs, etc!! 🙂 I’m so excited to have them available at Beehive!

What are your go to shoes for holiday? BOOTS BOOTS BOOTS. I’m a New Yorker now and have an unhealthy obsession with boots. Especially a good chunky boot. I love the play of a masculine combat boot with an adorable girly dress. The Kinda Western booties are amazing, I need them in both colors!

What are some go-to trends you’re really feeling this party season? Slip dresses. I need one in every color and print. They are so effortless/flattering. Also, so easy to layer– with a jacket.. or with a sweater/pullover… with a furry vest.. or even with a t-shirt thrown over for a casual look. It’s a dress you can wear a million different ways.

Who is your holiday fashion style icon? Charlotte Bickley from @yin2myyang is my major obsession right now for holiday glam. I know she would love all of Beehive’s statement pieces!
Any fun styling details that you plan on playing with this holiday? The BEEHIVE crystal clips might be best thing to ever happen. Love these. also my fav style detail is always a bag/clutch. a fun bag can change any outfit…The Pink Gatsby bag has just the right amount of “extra” so you can wear it with jeans or a cocktail dress.

Do you have any style tips for this sparkly season? Tom Ford lipstick/lip gloss. They are all amazing. My favorite color is “Erotic”. It’s the perfect pink. ❤
